At Muto Vein Center, we specialize in treating all forms of early and advanced stage vein disease affecting the lower extremities. Our team uses the latest, clinically proven techniques and technology to reverse the disease’s progression and resolve our patients’ symptoms—quickly, comfortably, and with little-to-no downtime.

We’re dedicated to providing effective vein treatment that helps our patients achieve the healthy veins, healthy legs, and healthy lives they deserve.

Dr. Muto performs a wide-variety of advanced procedures, including, but not limited to:

Sclerotherapy vein treatment is highly-effective and is among the most frequently performed procedures for removing varicose veins and spider veins.  Eliminating varicose and spider veins via sclerotherapy involves the injection of a proven and safe medication (either liquid or foam sclerosant) directly into the spider and/or varicose veins at issue, guided visually or by ultrasound.  This medication causes the vein to collapse or close, re-routing the flow of blood and allowing the body to absorb the vein which subsequently fades from view.

Sclerotherapy is a quick and comfortable procedure, resulting in no downtime or effect on a patient’s normal activities.

Venous ablation, also called endovenous ablation, is an effective, minimally invasive procedure that is highly effective for patients suffering from many forms of venous disease, including varicose veins and related complications, such as pain, swelling, heaviness, itching, and rashes. At MVC, we offer a range of vein ablation treatment options, including radiofrequency (RF) ablation, chemical ablation, and mechanochemical ablation (MOCA).

All forms of venous ablation are performed in our office on an outpatient basis and a local anesthetic is used to eliminate any discomfort. Vein ablation provides rapid symptom relief and is quick, comfortable, and results in no downtime or effect on a patient’s normal activities.

A phlebectomy, also known as an ambulatory phlebectomy or mini-phlebectomy, is a minimally invasive procedure that effectively removes varicose veins.  Phlebectomies involve a tiny pinhole puncture and a local anesthetic is used to eliminate any discomfort.  This procedure is ideal for patients with varicose veins that can’t be resolved via sclerotherapy or ablation alone, although phlebectomy is often used in conjunction with sclerotherapy or ablation to achieve optimal results as quickly as possible.

The procedure is quick, comfortable, and the results last a lifetime.  Phlebectomies are performed in-office on an outpatient basis and patients can return to normal activities immediately following the procedure.

Veinwave is a new minimally-invasive procedure that uses thermocoagulation to safely and effectively remove spider veins anywhere on the body.  Veinwave is a great option for treating very small veins that can’t be treated with sclerotherapy.

The procedure is quick, comfortable, and very effective.  Results are typically visible immediately following the procedure and will continue to improve for several days.  Patients generally experience no post-procedure side effects and are able to return to normal activities right away.

Venous ultrasound is the best test for identifying and mapping venous disease and, depending on your condition, may be the first step in your treatment. It assesses venous circulation, including the deep vascular system as well as superficial (close to the surface) veins.  Venous ultrasound can identify clots, or deep vein thrombosis (DVT), measure valve closure times, and otherwise help us determine the presence of venous insufficiency and identify the root cause of your symptoms.  Venous ultrasounds are an invaluable diagnostic tool that allow us to develop the fastest and most effective treatment plan.

Venous ultrasounds are completely painless, quick, and easy.
