Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) Treatment
What is Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)?
Restless Leg Syndrome (also known as RLS or Willis-Ekbom disease) is a condition that causes a variety of unpleasant sensations involving the leg(s) or feet, often described as tingling, itching, twitching, burning, throbbing, or “creepy crawly” sensations. Patients often experience an urge to move their legs to alleviate these sensations.
RLS symptoms typically occur at night while laying down and often severely interfere with sleep or the ability to fall asleep. They can also occur after sitting for long periods of time.
What causes Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)?
RLS is a common condition affecting many people and is often diagnosed as a neurologic disorder, but instead, has a significant association with venous reflux or venous insufficiency—and can be effectively treated with non-invasive and/or minimally invasive procedures.
These RLS treatments are quick, comfortable, and involve little-to-no downtime.
